Maintenance

For extensive or delicate cleaning and restoration, it is advisable to seek professional assistance from a jeweler or specialized gold-plating service. Attempting complex maintenance at home can lead to damage. We offer re-plating and polishing services for chains and bracelets at an affordable price, ensuring they regain their original appearance.

Please follow the instructions below:

Our gold-plated jewelry pieces are not entirely made of gold; they consist of a base metal of silver .999 (not .925 or stainless steel) coated with a high-quality layer of 14TK gold. The gold layer is susceptible to wear and tear over time. The maintenance guidelines provided focus solely on caring for this gold-plated surface.

Limited Durability:
Gold-plated items have a limited lifespan, and regular use and exposure to elements can cause the gold layer to wear off. The suggested maintenance methods aim to extend the appearance of the gold plating but do not ensure permanent retention.

Discoloration and Wear:
Natural processes such as discoloration, fading, or tarnishing may affect the gold-plated surface over time. To preserve the gold plating, avoid exposure to chemicals, perfumes, lotions, or abrasive materials. Some people's sweat is more acidic than others, which can also cause the gold plating to fade more quickly. We recommend it is best to remove your gold-plated jewelry before exercising, swimming, or showering.
